The British Museum

The British Museum's collection of seven million objects representing the rich history of human cultures mirrors the city of London's global variety. In no other museum can the visitor see so clearly the history of what it is to be human. Set in the heart of Bloomsbury, the current building dates back to 1852 and has an impressive selection of stunning galleries in which to entertain. The Great Court, designed by Sir Norman Foster and completed in 2000 as part of the millennium celebrations, can hold up to 1400 guests under the iconic glass roof. The Egyptian Sculpture, Enlightenment and other galleries can all provide beautiful backdrops to a dinner or reception from 20 to 600 guests.
