Us corporate event folks traditionally start thinking about Christmas early, but even we were taken aback when we realised the jingling juggernaut of festive entertainment had already began its inexorable approach last week. The London Eye Barracuda brought out the Christmas crackers early with an event to showcase the seasonal party options available on the luxury riverboat.
It’s already been a busy summer for Watling Street Band and the Banjo/Tuba/Drum trio look set to have a packed Christmas after their warmly received set on the Barracuda that included Billy Jean, Valerie, Get Lucky and more. The band’s quirky, playful takes on modern pop tunes are great for events with a relaxed, informal feel – perfect for helping guests let their hair down at a Christmas party.
Slightly quieter but no less intriguing was our Graphologist Adam who was on hand... literally... to examine the handwriting of guests and see what personality traits he could parse from their elongated loops or lower case ‘i’s dotted with tiny skulls. Adam drew a crowd thanks to his unusual act but guests were quickly charmed by his warmth and wit as he pored over their various scribbles.
