In the past, we’ve had plenty of acts aboard the Silver Sturgeon for corporate events but never quite so many performers as this recent event aboard Woods Silver Fleet’s flagship vessel. The event brought together some of our most popular performers incorporating live music, dance and magic into an evening’s entertainment that no guest would soon forget.
The increasingly popular Wandering Hands kicked things off but with a slight twist on their usual mix of pop covers and modern tunes. To better fit in with the 60s theme of the Silver Sturgeon’s Ensign Room, we provided the trio with era appropriate costumes; channelling the free spirited feel of late 60s ‘Swinging London’, the guys donned frilly shirts, bell bottoms and plenty of velour to perform a set of songs from the decade.
Strolling magician Dan took to the top decks to entertain guests as they enjoyed the view over the Thames as well as a selection of expertly crafted drinks and canapés from exclusive caterers Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts. As you’d expect from an experienced magician, Dan blew guests away with a compelling mix of card tricks, mind magic and that thing he does with the little rabbits.
Unlike Wandering Hands, Function Band Bellissima were unburdened by the constraints of a decade and therefore able to pick and choose from their vast repertoire of cover versions. Performing two sets during the evening, Bellissima first performed an intimate set as an acoustic duo before bringing in the rest f the band for a rollicking full set.
Finally, West End Tribute act and serial purveyors of the Flashmob ToneAcity were surreptitiously positioned in and around event guests before they burst out of hiding with an explosive song and dance routine that took guests completely by surprise.
Take a look at some more pictures from the event below.
