Was 2015 really three years ago? Amazingly it was! We can still remember the brilliance and the beauty of this spectacular event at the QEII Centre in Westminster, which featured incredible handmade costumes, phenomenal circus performances and everybody's favourite strolling acoustic trio. Enjoy!
The QEII Centre was magically transformed into a blissful floral paradise last night and we sent along Wandering Hands, Acrochaps and two Skater Girls to provide the event’s entertainment. And what an event it was!
Guests arrived at the QEII Centre to be met with a wonderful floral landscape in one of the venue’s many multi-purpose function rooms (you may recognise the name from the announcement of the Labour leadership contest at the weekend).
Not early were they met by the stunning production and props however, but by the extremely popular trio that comprise Wandering Hands, who strummed and saxed – is that even a word? – through a hugely entertaining repertoire of hits!
After an hour or so of sipping drinks, small talk and naturally, grabbing a photo with everyone’s favourite function band, guests were surprised to see a Ringmaster usher them through a curtain...
...Where they were amazed to discover a circus, complete with the gentlemen acrobats The Acrochaps performing in the circus ring! And as if that’s not enough (it wasn’t), two costumed skater girls sporting incredible bespoke dessert headwear.
The tweets were plentiful direct from the event but more was still to come as Wandering Hands returned to complete the party atmosphere.
