With the so-called 'beast from the east' moving across the UK, we thought it might be nice to look back at an event that took place in glorious sunshine just a couple of years ago. A Hampton Court Palace party, there was a carnival-like atmosphere as Acoustik, Acro-Jugglers and face painters entertained the guests. The photos are stunning so please feel free to have a read!
Another week another May showcase! There’s just something about the good weather in April and May that makes everybody in the events industry sit up and want to hold a party. Who are we to complain? Amazing food, gorgeous flowers, enchanting production…and of course an incredible venue in which it’s held. Have we forgotten something? We think we’ve forgotten something. Oh yes, the awesome entertainment, which we like to provide.
For Hampton Court Palace’s latest showcase, which was held outside in order to take advantage of the good weather, the Historical Royal Palaces team had opted for a festival theme with ‘festival fun’ as the dress code. Wellies at the ready!
The exciting part about this event was that it was taking place within a secret garden. Okay, we don’t mean a literal secret garden that nobody at Hampton Court knew about until they pulled a tree branch away from their face, but a garden that has long been inaccessible to the public and the events world. If you’re intrigued by what the ‘20th century gardens’ might look like when not used for an event, please click here.
The canapes from Blue Strawberry were incredibly tasting and best of all, the BBQ was on! With a few cocktails to choose from, there was a pure summer vibe in place as Acoustik took to the stage. A young and dynamic duo comprising of vocals and guitar, they were the perfect choice for the occasion and went down a storm.
As they were catching a breather in between their sets, we then allowed our Acro-jugglers to entertain the crowd. Not only can they flip a multitude of pins within their hands, but they can also flip themselves! We don’t know how they do it, but it’s a tremendously entertaining strolling circus act for an event.
The last act that we provided was the one that was first on our list when we were initially informed of the summer festival theme. After all, what is a festival without hiring some face painters? To provide the butterflies and stars and various other adornments on the day, we utilised the skills of none other than Angel Faces, who went down a treat. Who said face painting’s just for kids?
It was absolutely wonderful evening with all our entertainers putting on a great show. Our many thanks also go to Simon Lycett flowers for their stunning floral arrangements, Raj Tent Club for their luxury marquees and White Light Events for their production.
