Sensational New Acts for Summer 2018 – Part II

May 16, 2018

The Sheldrake Trio

Following on from Part I of our blogs about fantastic new acts added to the website, here is the second half! Primarily operating within the music genre, these entertainment acts are all an excellent choice for your party or event this summer!

Ryan is a vocalist who we have worked with for a number of years as one half of the superb duo, Ryan and Johnny. It seems strange that we’ve never had a separate listing for his solo vocal work until now but here it is! Having performed jazz and swing professionally for over ten years, Ryan has performed at some of the finest venues in the world including Wembley Stadium and the Old Vic Theatre. Recently selected to join big band group The FlyBoys as lead vocalist, Ryan is sure to bring something special to your next event.

A London-based singer-pianist, Jordi originally hails from Australia where she performed at some of Sydney and Melbourne’s top venues! Classically trained on piano, she has held residencies across Australia, Los Angeles and London, her vast repertoire always impressing no matter the occasion. A natural when it comes to music, Jordi can play anything from jazz through to classical and contemporary chart hits.

DJ, keys, percussion, vocals, vibraphone, saxophone, flute—The largest possible formation of Nocturne is a true sight to behold on stage and thankfully, the music is even better! Performing layered reworking of classic pop from the 1990s and 2000s, this hugely versatile entertainment act are perfect for a party environment this summer. With a number of high-profile bookings already this year including a residency at Quaglino’s in central London, this is a prime point to book this up and coming band.

If you’re on the hunt for an experienced professional pianist who offers a vast repertoire of jazz and pop from the 1950s through to the present day then Hamish is your man! Having worked across London in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, and worked with the biggest names in the business – The Temptations and Grace Jones to name just two. A performer that has played at thousands of events over the years, Hamish is perfect for weddings and corporate events.

The Sheldrake Trio

A band that absolutely wowed us in their audition, The Sheldrake Trio comprise of guitar, double bass and female vocals. Delivering recognisable pop twists with a unique jazzy twist, they really are a group we highly recommend for all occasions. Able to perform in black tie or with a more casual style, between the members they have performed for the BBC and ITV,  at Glastonbury and Bestival and even at The Ritz! We don’t know what else to say about the superb Sheldrake Trio… We’ll let the video above do the rest of the talking.

We have recently written a blog about why you should book an acoustic duo this summer and Fonix are part of the inspiration for why we wrote it! An enchanting duo comprised of vocals and guitar, they have performed with one another for over six years and have cultivated an eclectic playlist of songs that be enjoyed at all occasions. From The Killers to Gnarls Barkley, Marvin Gaye to Jessie J, we think there’s a little something for everyone to enjoy!
