Now Accepting Entries for this Year’s ‘Next Big Thing’ Competition

November 12, 2012

Looking for a way to break into the corporate entertainment business? Looking to raise your profile in the events industry? Want to win £1,000? If you have an act and you’ve answered with an emphatic ‘Yes!’ to any or all of the above, then you’re the ideal candidate for this year’s Next Big Thing.

The competition - run in association with Event Magazine, International Confex organisers UBM and our good selves - is the event industry’s biggest showcase for new talent; a sort of Britiain’s Got Talent for the corporate events world if you will. Previous winners have included now established acts like Rat Pack crooner Mickey Fordola and last year’s winner Iona Thomas but even runners up have benefitted from performing in the competition and the exposure they received.

The Next Big Thing takes the form of two heats and a final which takes place at this year’s International Confex at ExCel London from the 19th to the 21st of March.  It’s a fantastic opportunity to get noticed by some of the Event Industry’s biggest players – the exact kind of people you want to see your act. Winners receive £1,000 cash, A Year's Contract With Sternberg Clarke  and a stand at Next Year's Confex.

To enter, all you need to do is fill out this form - including a YouTube link to give us an idea of your act – and next thing you know, you could be on stage duking it out with the hottest new acts in the UK.If you don't have a video, why not come in and audition for us, and we'll make on for you.

If you want to find out more about the Next Big Thing, check out our write ups of last year’s heats and final. Also, keep an eye on the Confex Blog for some of Adam’s thoughts on what he’s looking for in this year’s competition.

 Good Luck!
