Who else loves a good showcase? We think they are the perfect antidote to the rapidly cooling weather especially with a whole host of wonderful entertainment in tow. We assisted in the most recent wedding showcase at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane last week and provided not one, not two but six different acts for guests to enjoy. Marvellous! Our huge thanks must also go to Cameo Photography for their fabulous photos.
When it comes to booking entertainment for an event in London, you have to consider what sort of entertainment you’d like; are you booking entertainment to stroll, where the act comes to you? Or are you perhaps wanting to book entertainment for the stage, a function band perhaps, that will ensure a packed dance floor until the evening’s end? It can be hard to know exactly which sort of entertainment you are after which is why showcases are such a good idea. Not only do they allow some exposure for the entertainment acts as well as key opportunities to network, but clients get to ‘try before you buy’, and Sternberg Clarke manages to show off as best we can. “Look at our wonderful acts…” is essentially what we preach.
The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane provides beautiful surroundings for an event and means that we are able to showcase acts that both stroll and perform on stage. We decide to kick things off with Pete the magician – seen here talking to Mr. Sternberg himself – and Echo, the world’s first singing string trio. Naturally both acts are hugely popular with guests!
Our digital caricaturist Femi was looking wonderfully dapper as he drew guests with his usual unmatched talent. Able to provide strolling musical entertainment, Wandering Hands kept everybody entertained with their unique pick-a-song-and-we-will-play-it approach proving extremely popular with each group they visited.
In terms of stage entertainment, we had two excellent acts to help take the roof down; Frobacks (who normally appear as a four or five-piece) showed off a brand new three-piece lineup as they danced in their usual comedic style whilst Jack Pack had everybody swaying to their music with their modern take on the swing classics that proved to be so popular on Britain’s Got Talent. Frank Sinatra eat your heart out!
It was a tremendous evening in the heart of Piccadilly and we cannot wait to return to the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane for another spectacular celebration of entertainment in the not too distant future.
