What better way to start 2018 than with an exquisite event at Historical Royal Palaces’ Banqueting House? This was a wonderful way to celebrate what is a beautiful venue and best of all, it took place during the day and on into the early evening. Many industry events take place after work hours so to enjoy this spectacular space during the afternoon as part of #PearlsofWisdom was truly delightful.
Events company Pearl and Pear had arranged everything and the day began with a lunch in the Undercroft courtesy of catering company Rhubarb, with wines provided by Coates & Seely. There’s nothing quite like enjoying some bowl food and canapés in a historical royal palace, and too add to the enjoyment, there was an interactive vegetable table, which guests were able to pick from if they found something that took their fancy. All very nice indeed! To add to the ambience, we had The Blind Tigers playing some excellent background music.
From here, guests were able to enjoy more music as the saxophonist from the Blind Tigers led guests up the stairs to the next part of the day. In the main hall, attendees were greeted with the option of a number of workshops which they could partake in – floristry (courtesy of Philippa Craddock), AV (courtesy of White Light Events) and calligraphy!
A few more interactive sessions followed; a panel discussion on how to win the perfect pitch and a workshop about Instagram proved to be very interesting for all event professionals in the room. Was that the end of the event? Absolutely not! There was still so much more to enjoy. As you can see from the photos, Great Hire, Wow Grass and Twilight Trees providing the perfect space to enjoy these sessions and we were so lucky to be able to provide Emma Willis for a motivational speech on her career in business and charity work. You can read more about that here. Suffice to say, it was a hugely enjoyable part of the day and certainly inspired the guests.
Finally, we were delighted to offer Freight Train for the after party in the Undercroft, with White Light Events providing a very cool LED screen that showed off our logo. It truly was a phenomenal afternoon and evening and our gratitude once again must go to Pearl and Pear and Historical Royal Palaces for organising such a fabulous occasion.
