With the arrival of Spring, there is the fantastic opportunity for entertainment acts to once again perform outside, safe in the knowledge that rain should, in theory, stay away. Naturally it pays to look at the weather forecast before planning where and how the entertainment for your event will be laid out, but all things considered it really is a wonderful idea if you can pull it off as these photos show!
Our client had booked the gorgeous Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum for a sumptuous dinner and was looking to hire regal entertainment to suit the setting! This was not the setting for a royal lookalike or two, but a fabulous lineup which included hiring a military band, two Royal guards to greet guests and of course, a fabulous function band to get the party started as the plates were cleared away!
Thankfully for this corporate event, the rain stayed away and this turned into a fantastic example of utilising an events venue for its best attributes. Starting outside, the military marching band ran through a couple of royal marches that you might recognise, with guests audibly impressed as they ascended the stairs and nodded to the immaculately costumed Royal guards. These two combined traditional entertainment with a little light-hearted fun and set the tone for a fabulous evening.
Dippy the Dinosaur is the main draw of hiring Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum, a space which can accommodate up to 1200 guests! It’s not hard to see the appeal with its grand entrance, Romanesque arches and of course, the aforementioned Diplodocus on display. Not many parties have that! Continuing to entertain after dinner, the military marching band performed once more to generous applause. This addition to one of London’s finest museums was absolutely perfect and the lights from Bespoke only served to enhance the evening.
Finally, it was time for the function band! Declaring an act as good as Bellissima a function band, it somehow makes them sound nothing like their actual selves. A talented and stylish party band, they have been entertaining clients and private parties and corporate events for years! Hell, if you are looking to hire a band for a London event, this is where you should come! After a barnstorming set, it was time for everyone to head home, but not before marvelling at the gorgeous setting just once more. The Natural History Museum is one of our favourite venues and hopefully by reading this blog and admiring the photos, you can see why!
