In Pictures: Alice in Wonderland at One Marylebone

April 27, 2015

We love a weekend party and this was one to rival the best! Hosted at One Marylebone in central London, our client had come to us with a very specific brief that we have had a bit of familiarity with over the years. To give you a clue (if the title and main photo isn’t enough), they required a Queen of Hearts, a Mad Hatter, a Cheshire Cat and yes, even an Alice in order to pull off a wonderful day of Alice in Wonderland inspired fun!

So without further ado, let us take you 'through the looking glass', giving you behind-the-scenes access to this most wonderous of events!

Each and every costume was handmade specially for this event and can now be hired for your literary-themed party. (If you so wish. We aren’t going to throw them at you if you don’t want them but come on, look at that White Rabbit!)   With the Queen of Hearts safely in place on her throne, it was finally time for Alice to welcome guests into Wonderland.

Waiting in the wings were various characters from Lewis Carroll’s famous book including the Cheshire Cat, Mouse and Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.

Of course, this being a Sternberg Clarke event – each and every character had a special hidden talent! The Cheshire Cat could juggle, the Mouse was an expert balloon modeller and Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee were acrobats!

One by one the acts walked through to Wonderland to wow the guests and an excellent time was had by all.
