With Mad Max Fury Road seemingly exciting every critic in the UK, it seems that apocalyptic thrills are very much in this summer, so why not hold back the nerves, fasten your seatbelt and brace yourself for acts and experiences which will simply amaze?
Fire? Indoors? How’s that for entertainment?! If you’re a little bit of a pyromaniac at heart, but don’t feel like burning down your own venue (to be fair, who would want that?) then why not enjoy fire and flames in a controlled display? Thankfully for yourself and your guests, ‘controlled’ does not mean ‘dull’, because Spark! Fire provide astonishing displays that will leave their audience lost for words.
Now you may not think that this is an audacious thrill ride of an act, but let the video above be the judge of that. The cars careen around the track as fast as possible and the poor man putting them back on appears to be lucky to escape without so much as a scratch on him. Our giant scalextric track is slightly smaller but is still a six-track speed fest. Will you win out?
You may be a dab hand at Halo or Call of Duty but why not practice for real, because let’s be honest, if the apocalypse arrives then guns will probably arrive with it. As such, it might be an idea to brush up on your shooting skills before the various vagabonds roll in. If you can nail that quick draw, that’s probably half the battle.
Weapons of Sound
In an industrial wasteland, it’s highly likely that people will still want music. With regular performances of Stomp! no doubt coming to an end as society rebuilds, there will still be one or two folks throwing together the debris to create something incredible. Well step forward Weapons of Sound (cool name, we know) who do that already! Get yourself in the mood by listening to traffic cones, piping and yes, even the kitchen sink.
Titan the Robot
If we’ve learned anything from Hollywood (questionable...) then it’s probably that robots will be the ones to do us in once and for all. To prepare us for the inevitable – unless we turn off the mains – Titan the Robot is sure to delight your guests. He’s performed all over Europe and to be quite honest, is nothing like you’ve ever seen before. Truly magical.
To put your mind at rest, we don't think an apocalypse will arrive any time soon but it certainly pays to be prepared.
