Entertainment @ National Maritime Museum

April 18, 2019

When the National Maritime Museum Greenwich got in touch to ask whether we wanted to provide entertainment for their most recent showcase, we jumped at the chance. Located in one of  the most beautiful parts of London, the museum is a gorgeous events space and we couldn’t wait to provide music, circus and dance entertainment for the invited guests.

She Wants To Move were only launched this year but have already proven to be a hit on the events scene with hugely successful gigs already having taken place across the capital. This was to be another fine night for the trio who perform classic pop hits whilst meandering about your event and performing to small pockets of guests at a time. If guests want to join in then they are more than welcome to; these wander women play sax, guitar and perform vocals to ensure that nobody gets left behind. A real treat for all in attendance!

Duo Balskat were the next performers to wow guests at the showcase with their incredibly passionate circus performance that showed exactly why acrobalance is so popular at events. Beginning their routine with cube manipulation, which is a truly beautiful solo art, the performance quickly moved into the more traditional but no less exceptional acrobalance, with feats of strength that have to be seen to be believed. The music that played throughout their act really helped elevate (sorry) the astonishing production to new heights.

The final act of the evening was some flamenco dancing courtesy of La Escuela de Baile, a superb dance school located in Middlesex. Pulling off a stunning performance that perfectly captured the mood of the evening, guests could almost believe that we had drifted from London and arrived on the Spanish coast! A flawless display that really helped to show the different types of entertainment that work within the space.

We tremendously enjoyed the National Maritime Museum showcase and cannot wait to return. Credit for the photos must go to Royal Museums Greenwich, who very kindly sent them over for our archive.
