Recent Events: Opera, Ballet, Acrobalance and Hoop Dancing at the Landmark

January 08, 2013

As London’s leading supplier of entertainment for corporate events, we pride ourselves on offering the most diverse and exciting selection of acts around and nowhere was this more evident than at a recent event at The Landmark Hotel at which we provided a breathtaking mix of modern circus, dance and cabaret with a little opera thrown in for good measure.

The evening opened with a performance from Hoop dancer and Star of La Soiree Yulia Pikhtina whose high energy cabaret show features a mix of hoop dancing and contortion that makes for thrilling after-dinner entertainment. Yulia gyrated and juggled a number of hoops whilst twisting and stretching into seemingly impossible shapes to the delight of guests of the event. You can see a video of Yulia in action here.

Though Yulia’s take on the ever popular hoop dance was plenty inventive – the innovative combination of hand balancing and ballet on show from circus performer Acro Felipe was even more unique and unexpected. Ably assisted by a ballet dancer, renowned acrobat Felipe climbed atop a pair of hand balancing poles as his dancing assistant handed. With music provided by an opera singer this elegant, graceful combination of circus and ballet made for a breathtaking focal point for the evening.
