Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are wonderful events that really bring a community together and celebrate your child’s ascent to adulthood.
With family and friends of all ages in attendance, it’s often difficult to strike the right tone for your celebration before, after and during the seudat mitzvah. But not to worry, here are couple of creative ideas that might just work in honour of the festivities.
A Quiz Host
Many bar mitzvahs and bat mitzvahs bring everyone together and having a quiz host put together a classic gameshow just for your family and friends is a superb way to engage the room. With specific questions that only a few people may know, it’s a great approach to ensuring that everyone in the room is included. You can also throw in a theme if needs be!
This is certainly a different idea but with many young men and women roaming the room, this is a great idea to sap a little of that excitable energy and show who’s boss! Making it into a contest for a number of the attendees is also a fun approach to get people talking and break down any shyness amongst the guests. Why not offer a prize to make it even more tempting?
It’s a stalwart of the party scene but it’s a stalwart for a reason. There’s nothing better than a good dance to celebrate your child’s coming-of-age, with a DJ able to be briefed on favourite songs to play. With a playlist that appeals directly to your family, it’s sure to get the guests nostalgic. You can also make it even more interesting by inviting the mirror man (above) along!
In this day and age, it’s rare to actually take home a physical photographic memento from your event, with most people simply keeping their memories on their phone, occasionally uploading one or two to social media sites that many may never see. Thankfully, the photobooth solves these problems! Fully customisable with a range of props and costumes, these are hugely popular at every event.
A little something for the younger ones perhaps, unless you have a sneaky suspicion that your father may just love a giraffe hat. Balloon artists are renowned for their ability to transform the most intriguing parts of your imagination into something tangible – and wearable if needs be!
Perfect for allowing young and enquiring minds to be completely mystified for the rest of the day, a magician is superb entertainment, even able to walk around the table during the seudat mitzvah, showcasing the very best in close-up magic. From coins to cards, there will be something to impress everyone!
Of course this is by no means an exhaustive list and if there’s something else you have your eye on then get in touch using the links below.
