Awards are everywhere right now. 1917 just won Best Picture at the BAFTAs last night, there was The Grammys a week before that, The Golden Globes a week before that and of course the Oscars in a little less than two weeks’ time. With this in mind, we thought we’d put forward a few ideas for awards entertainment!
When guests are welcomed to an awards ceremony, ordinarily there is some form of welcome drinks and canapés that can be enjoyed. This is the perfect time for some entertainment in the form of a strolling act and what better option than Rap Around? They sing, they strum and they rap! Yes, not only will they rap the classics but they can also add rap to other highly popular songs. Unique, innovative and sure to impress at events this year.
As well as music, it’s always a good idea to have some sort of static option that guests can walk up to and admire. To this end, booking circus entertainment like Luna or a contortionist is an excellent idea. Able to pull off some incredible positions and poses that have to be seen to be believed, we guarantee that your guests will clamouring to post their photos on social media with the all-important event hashtag!
Kinetic Light/Video Mapped Dance
Now we are talking! When everybody is sat down and the show is set to begin, you might like to book entertainment that is sure to wow the crowd. If you book a Kinetic Light/Video Mapped Dance sequence, you can definitely expect jaws to drop. Above you can watch an example that we provided for the Sibos event at the ExCeL Arena last year. As you can see, it’s a sight to behold and is sure to have people excited for the show ahead.
Not only can a live band provide an awesome way to celebrate the rest of the evening once the awards ceremony is over, but they can also provide ‘awards stings’ – short, sharp bursts of music as the winner is announced and making their way up to the stage. Courtier Music is an fantastic choice of band who are guaranteed to make the party a spectacular affair as the video above shows!
What better way to offer entertainment to guests than by having a show at the interval of the awards ceremony? A great option is to offer a ten to fifteen-minute magic show that is not only entertaining but will give the guests a much-needed break? The likes of Jamie Raven, Ben Hanlin and Maddox all offer a magic stage show and if you would like, they can even incorporate the awards into their performance.
