American South Road Trip - Theme Ideas

June 18, 2019

Have you ever wanted to take an American South Road Trip? By that we mean jumping in a car, singing along to Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver and cruising through states including Texas and Colorado to name but two. Of course we couldn’t all do that at once so these event theme ideas hopefully inspire your imagination to replicate such a feeling!

Meet-and-Greet Actors

Now we do not wish to unfairly stereotype the American south by suggesting characters like lumberjacks or hillbillys but they may help guests feel as if they are living within the theme. Gas station attendants, cowboys/cowgirls, cheerleaders—There are a whole load of ‘American character’ options that you can book to meet-and-greet guests, and if your event happens to take place on Independence Day on July 4th, why not book an Uncle Sam as well?

Bespoke Photo Booth

Although other photo booths are available, we think for true atmosphere, a Staged Photography themed bespoke backdrop with photographer really adds to the occasion. Pictured above is a 1950s diner theme which is sure to make guests feel as though they are taking a trip through the US. Stand by the jukebox or hold up the menu – there’s a whole lot of fun to be had and the photo booths work best when the guests are creative.

Diner Roller Girls

Another addition to the ‘diner in the American south’ sub-theme, our diner girls can perform as roller skaters or you can book acrobats in costume who can not only meander through the crowds on their wheels but also perform extraordinary feats of strength and grace. Diner roller girls will certainly deliver on your theme!

Hill Valley Joes

What is a party or event without some music? If you were on an American South road trip, you might decide to stop off and take in some bluegrass or music with a country twang. The Hill Valley Joes play into this whole idea with their expertly curated image, delivering pop songs with a bluegrass twist. Whether you are a fan of Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran or a vintage act from the past, The Hill Valley Joes will have you hearing the classics like never before.

Play Something Country

Play Something Country celebrates Country and Western music, at its best! Featuring hits by the likes of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Johnny Cash, all the way through the decades to modern stars such as Hank Williams Jnr., Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and of course the iconic Shania Twain. Also able to incorporate some line dancing lessons into their show, Play Something Country will make guests feel as though they’ve come across a real party y’all!
