Weddings come in all shapes and sizes and the same goes for wedding entertainment. Sometimes it’s as simple as an elegant string quartet during the ceremony, sometimes things get a little bit more spectacular. The latter was most definitely the case for this pre wedding party in New Delhi where we supplied a fleet of dancers, hula hoopers and aerialists to help a couple announce their engagement in style. Read on for more...
A striking pop-up night club in a park in New Delhi was the venue for the evening featuring a champagne glass-inspired central seating area for the happy couple and an eye catching disco ball hanging above. To match the contemporary surroundings, we worked with event planners Showtime to supply create a stunning programme of entertainment that worked in concert with the visually arresting surroundings, all of which was especially impressive considering the event came together in such a short space of time.
Suspended from the ceiling, our circus artistes showed off a mixture of aerial hoop and acrobatic skills with one of the aerialists even spraying clouds of smoke with a CO2 gun whilst hanging above the disco ball. Rigging team Natura did an outstanding job of hoisting the performers up quickly and safely leaving the artists to do what they do best.
Situated in a series of booths on the walls of the venue, our neon costumed dancers and hula hoopers performed high energy dance routines to music from the DJ in the booth below. Sporting glowing animal print costumes, brightly coloured wigs and UV make-up, the dancers set the tone perfectly for the party’s playful, vibrant feel.
Our light walkers – Stilt Walkers is custom-made illuminated costumes – were also on hand to add to the visual spectacle of the evening but also performed an important function by presenting a bottle of champagne to the couple as the centrepiece of the evening. Elsewhere Pixel Poi Jugglers Feeding The Fish performed a routine using their state of the art LED technology, programmed specially for the event.
A big thank you to event planner Showtime, rigging team Natura (who also provided the amazing photos) and everyone who worked on the event. You can see more pictures of the event on our Facebook page.
