Having recently revamped their suppliers list for corporate events, Banqueting House gave the events industry a chance to see those suppliers in action with a dazzling showcase that featured a host of new and exciting ideas. And wouldn’t you know it, among those new and exciting ideas were a handful of our favourite new acts...
Hot on the heels of our blog post about Combining Entertainment Ideas for events, we were at it again with our main act for the night. The brilliant AcroFelipe took to the stage accompanied on Cello and Violin by the Balanas duo – one of the incredible new classical acts that make up our recently announced Recitalists concept. Performing his astonishing handstand show, AcroFelipe gradually ascended a pair of poles as he built them beneath him, his breathtaking strength and poise was given the perfect soundtrack from the virtuosic string duo whose performance of Variations from Passacaglia by Handel-Halvorsen had the audience transfixed before Felipe even appeared.
Elsewhere at the event, food came courtesy of event caterers Blue Strawberry, florists Lavender Green provided flowers, Fisher were in charge of production and Great Hire provided event furniture. We also had iPad Magaician Dan wandering around the event entertaining guests with some close-up tricks, loop pedal-guitarist Laura-Jayne’s layered covers of pop tunes and background jazz from the Winter Duo.
You can see more pictures from the event on photographer Miles Willis’ website.
