Biography

The Javas are a swinging Gypsy Jazz duo made up of violin virtuoso Georgina and guitar maestro Nick. Equally at home playing light background music or raising the roof with dare-devil gypsy numbers, they play a winning mixture of django jazz favourites and their own Hot Club style arrangements of well-known pop favourites with vitality and flair.

Highlights for their career to date have included performing for HM The Queen, Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Gary Barlow, and playing at Glastonbury Festival, Latitude, The Big Chill and Hammersmith Apollo.

They have also played with Mojo Award-winning blues artist Seasick Steve, John Paul Jones of Led Zepellin, appeared on X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and the Royal Variety Show and performed with and supported Mumford and Sons. They have also played at various music venues around London, had airtime on Radio 1 and Radio 2, and performed at countless corporate events for clients including Redbull and The Sunday Times, and hotels such as The Lanesborough, Landmark and Hilton.
