Gaana Rajas is a London -based dance group who came together via a shared passion for the Tamil street dance style Gaana.
Aged between 21 and 27, these young friends honed their craft on the university dance show scene, building up experience of dance styles ranging from Hip Hop to Bollywood.In a 2 month display of blazing energy and sheer determination, Gaana Rajas surpassed all expectations and won a place in the British public’s hearts with their impassioned performances on the Sky1 dance show Got To Dance.
Beating the odds in a competition that doesn’t usually see traditional dance groups go very far, Gaana Rajas reached the semi finals and impressed the judges with their raw and powerful performances.
