Abnormalik is a creation of performance artist/actor Malik whose mime characters are based on the surreal and somewhat sinister illustratons of Edward Gorey.
Malik's distinctive walkabout characters have custom-made costumes, prosthetics and makeup and range from a Sad Sepia clown to a Steampunk Count and are effective in generating intrigue and entertaining at events. And the characters don't only look great, as Malik is a trained actor, movement artist and mime, his characters are given a unique physicality.
Malik is an associate artist with Theatre Rie and has worked for The BBC, Punchdrunk, London Wonderground, The Roundhouse, Courtauld Gallery and The Natonal Centre For Circus Arts.
